Dear First 5 EDs, Staff and Friends,
This e-newsletter contains the following items:
Thanks. I hope to see you later this month.

This e-newsletter contains the following items:
- A complete explanation of Prop 10 funds in the Governor’s proposed budget
- The agenda for the upcoming Association meeting on January 26
- Minutes from the October Association meeting
- Letter sent by the 100% Campaign to the California Congressional delegation regarding reconciliation of the federal health reform bills
- Early information about the Governor’s proposal regarding Prop 10 revenues was somewhat confusing. I have now clarified the proposal, based on information from the Dept. of Finance, rather than the initial summary documents provided earlier this week.
- The Association will meet on Tuesday, January 26, at the Holiday Inn Capitol Plaza. Please review the agenda posted below. (The Oral Health Learning Exchange will meet the previous day. If you are interested in attending and did not already receive the agenda, please contact elise@f5ac.org to RSVP.) The State Commission will meet the following day. You can go to http://www.ccfc.ca.gov for information about that meeting.
- The October minutes, attached below, will be approved at the January meeting. Elections to the Executive Committee will also be held. Each county commission has one vote for the EC and may designate a proxy if a representative is unable to attend.
- Your commission or local partners may want to send a letter urging attention to children’s issues in the congressional health reform reconciliation effort. A sample letter, sent by the 100% Campaign, is attached below.
Thanks. I hope to see you later this month.
